The River of Life: Flowing from the Throne
By Damiano B. Centola
From the opening pages of Genesis to the final vision of Revelation, the river of life flows as a sign of God’s presence, purity, and renewal. In Eden, a river flowed from the garden to water the earth. In the Psalms, there is a river whose streams make glad the city of God. Ezekiel saw water flowing from the threshold of the Temple — ankle deep, then knee deep, then waters to swim in — and wherever that river flowed, life returned. And in Revelation, the river flows clear as crystal from the throne of God and of the Lamb. This river is not just water — it is the life of God. It washes. It restores. It heals. It renews the places that have gone dry, brittle, forgotten, or broken. The world offers noise, distraction, and temporary relief. But the river offers peace, stillness, and wholeness from the very heart of God. This river invites every soul: Stop striving. Come closer. Drink deeply. Live again. The presence of God is not earned — it is received. Not achieved — but entered into. The river is flowing still. And it is calling your name.
